One Saturday Morning

It was saturday moring and the Gaines house was full of excitement already, Derick and Althea woke their children up early so that the events planned for today would go as smoothly as possible. Derick took care of the boys, while Althea went to by the things needed to get the day started. Celeste was less than pleased with all the noise in the house.

Today was both sets of twins birthday, and the first up was Serena. She hopped up on the stool and made the wish to be beautiful

Feeling confident that her growing up would go off without a hitch she cheered along with the rest of the family.

She actually grew up to look a lot like her mother, although she wasn't so thrilled about it. She did get a great sense of humor as her fourth trait, just like her dad.

Next up was Celeste, she was eager to get the whole thing completely over with. Her dad was a little apprehensive about seeing his girls grow up.

But once the candles were blown out and the moment of reckoning was upon them neither one could help but be excited!!

Being the twins that they were Celeste also grew up to look like their mother although she was a little more proud of it then her sister was. Celeste rolled genius as her fourth trait which was another first for the Gaines family.

Next up it was time for the boys to age up into children. First up was Jacey, everyone gathered around the cake to wish him well as he grew up!!

The only one missing was Serena while everyone was preparing Jacey's cake she snuck off to use the bathroom......unfortunately....she didn't make it.

Serena didn't know how she would face her family after peeing on herself, especially since she just turned into a teenager! She rushed off to take a shower immediately.

No one else seemed to notice because they were all focusing on Jacey, who grew up to be quite a cute little boy. He gained the grumpy trait which is also a first for the Gaines family.

Serena finally returned to the festivities even though she was still majorly embarassed by the incident.

Last but definately not least was Drake. Everyone waited around in anticipation to see just what he would be like in his next stage in life.

He grew up to be quite the looker, he also rolled the Hot headed trait which again was a fist in the family. (Its going to be quite hard to marry these boys off.)

All in all the events of that Saturday went on quite splendidly. What started off as an irritating morning for Celeste turned out to be quite fun for the whole family!!

Rolling with the Punches Cont.

Derick Gaines woke up feeling absolutely exhausted, once again. The first thing he had to do that morning was to take care of baby Drake's dirty diaper, so that his crying wouldn't wake his brother.

Derick was glad he still had the ability to soothe one baby's worries while the other was still sleeping, but he still felt odd and tired for most of the day.

Althea on the other hand, went straight to work on yet another book, she was contemplating on quitting her job so that she may fully focus on her writing. She wasn't sure just yet but it was something she kept in the back of her mind.

Derick made his way into the living room with his son Drake, he wondered the house aimlessly just trying to figure out what it was that was making him feel so slow, and tired. a

His daughter Serena was out making friends she had developed quite the need to socialize so whe wasted no time at all getting to know the people in her school.

Even Celeste tried to make a friend of two, the only person she really quicked with in the new neighborhood was Noe Goth

Back at the house Derick decided that the best way to make himself feel more alive was to get pumped in excercise, Althea just thought it was strange she assumed that excercise would give the opposite effect.

Later on that day during dinner Althea had an epiphany, she was now an adult and she decided that if she were to ever realize her lifetime wish that she would need to quit her job and become a full time author. Derick was delighted by the idea, that his wife was following her life long dream.

In fact he was so excited that he forgot that today was actually his birthday, while in the middle of celebrating with Althea and the babies, he began to age right before their eyes.

Derick was no an elder, suddenly he realized that the reason he was feeling so slow and tired was because he was gettin older. After figuring it out he felt a lot better about his situation in life, he was becoming restless because he hadn't yet fulfilled his life time wish, but now he sees that the most important thing is that he has his family.

The next day came around and it was the twins birthday, Derrick proudly brought his son to the birthday cake. He didn't have very much longer in this life but he wanted to make what he did have count for something. He fully intended to give his children all the things they needed to fulfill their own dreams.

Drake grew up into a very bald toddler, Derrick thought that he got from his side of the family.

Next to age up was baby Jacey the youngest in the family, Althea did the honors of taking her baby to the cake, she was excited to see how her son would look in the next stage of life.

Jacey ended up having a lot more hair than his older twin brother , both boys have their fathers eyes.

*Note* these past few days had been very uneventful so I had to try to fluff it up a little. Derrick finally became an elder, he is definately going to pass way before Althea, which should be rather interesting I think. Celeste has gotten pretty friendly with Noe Goth, but I'm not quite sure where he came from, I don't pay much attention to the other townies, unless my sims do. I thing he may be the son of mortimer whichh is rather interesting. Anywho, join me next time to see just what happens next to the gaines ya?!

Rolling With the Punches

When we last left the Gaines, Althea was enjoying thoughts of her family as she put dinner on the stove.

The next day Celeste was out making friends with one of the neighborhood boys, Celeste seems to actuall have a knack for making friends, especiall since she loves being outdoors.

Serena on the other hand spends most of her time, in the house studying, she doesn't really do much of anything else, needless to say her grades are fantastic.

Once Derrick got home he immediately got ready to make dinner, he made sushi out of the fish that Celeste caught, Althea wasn't quite sure how excactl to make it, so he set to work trying his hardest to make his family happy.

"What do you think of the name John if it's a boy?" Drake asked over dinner that night. "Lets leave the naming up to me dear, you just stick to the cooking." Althea replied. She wasn't at all thrilled about naming her son John at all.

After dinner Derrick went to wash the dishes only to have the sink break, "Oh dear can you fix that, Celeste and I are having a fascinating converstation. " Derrick couldn't help but feel a littl bit overwhelmed in a house full of girls, there were days when he found himself extremely tired no matter how much he slept.

Right in the middle of Celeste and Altheas conversation about music theory, Celeste's friend immediately starts freaking out.

Pretty soon everyone in the room, began freaking out all at once, Althea was still a bit confused about what exactly had happened.

A minute later the pain hit her like a ton of brick, her water had broken, and she was going into labor right that second. Everyone panicked no one knew what to do.

Celeste's friend thought this was way much to handly and decided to make a hasty retreat out the front door.

With the arrival of two boys it was time to move into a bigger home, that would fit them confortably, unfortunately they needed to take out a loan, in order to fund the building of a new home, and the interest rates are astronomical, adding to Derrick's exauhstion. Especially since Althea was still on maternity leave.

Althea named the twin boys Drake, and Jacey. Drake was born a clumsy couch potato, who likes the color black, spaghetti, and electronica music. While Jacey was born and easily impressed genius, who like the color Aqua, custom music, and ratatoullie.

Just like theyre girls Althea and Derrick split the work in half when it came to taking care of the babies, but even still Derrick couldn't shake the exhausted feeling he now felt everyday, he wasn't sure what he would do.

In the meantime he thought that he would just stick it out and roll with the punches. After all he had a family to take care of.

A slight break

I started college courses at school, and I got a semi promotion at work, so I've been super busy. SORRY. But now that I have some down time, Im gettin back into the simming groove so look forward to some new posts pretty soon.
